On April 18th, 2014, the Preparatory Department of the International School of BUCM organized a trip to The Massage Hospital of Beijing (refer as MHB below) and Prince Gong’s mansion, the purpose of it was to build up further interest to Chinese culture, its language and to acquire knowledge out of campus. About 45 students from 22 countries participated.

 In MHB, the students experienced and observed the clinical procedure of massage and acupuncture. The Doctors then introduced the history of massage, its treatment effects and demonstrated numerous massage techniques to the students.

 Afterward, the students arrived at Prince Gong’s mansion, where they experienced Chinese culture from the view of the imperial family.

 In the future, The Prep Department of BUCM will organize more activities for students to lighten their academic studies and make their stay in Beijing more enjoyable.
